Geleceğe Dönüş (Back to the Future)

“Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one!” • Today I had a blast in Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Island of Adventure. (see stories) Among my favorite rides are the E.T. Adventure and the new Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. As a big Back to the Future fan I was also really happy to discover the Jules Verne Train as seen in one of the most thrilling scenes of Back to the Future III. There are rumors that J.K. Rowling actually saved the BTTF train from being turned into a Hogwarts Express at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 🚂 Thanks for keeping this iconic movie vehicle! 🙏🏻 • Supported trip by @visitflorida #UniversalOrlando #UniversalStudiosFlorida #BacktotheFuture #BacktotheFuture3 #JulesVerneTrain #DocBrown #MartyMcFly #orlando #florida #visitflorida #LoveFL

Truman Show

View this post on Instagram

”Good morning! And in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!” • After an adventurous cinematic road trip through Georgia I arrived in Florida for many more gorgeous filming locations, from Seaside to Key West. 🚙 I guess most of you saw Seaside on the big screen as fictious Seahaven in “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey as the involuntary star of a 24-hour reality TV soap. When I heard this place is an actual town I knew I definitely wanted to visit it sometime. The business district in the movie needed a little bit of CGI support but the other locations are pretty much as seen on screen, especially the Truman House in 31, Natchez Street. Roaming around the city and the beautiful beach I didn’t run into a wall of a giant dome but the slogan of the real town Seaside sounds a little bit trumanlike to me: “A simple, beautiful life”. 😊 • Which movie locations would you like to see in Florida? 🎬 • Supported trip by @visitflorida #thetrumanshow #trumanshow #seaside #seasidefl #seasideflorida #seahaven #jimcarrey #southwalton #florida #visitflorida #LoveFL

Sherlock Holmes

View this post on Instagram

“Listen, what I said before John, I meant it. I don’t have friends, I’ve just got one!”🕵️‍♂️ • I’ve met these special flatmates in London again. Note: The well-known shared flat of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) is not as expexted at Baker Street 221b. Instead, the famous entrance resides at 127 North Gower Street, close to the Euston Square Tube Station and just next to Speedy’s Cafe which also served as a filming location for the TV show. 🎬 • I’ve been here many years ago but I love to come back to familiar places as they are a little bit like old acquaintances you just wanna see if they’re still doing well. 😊 •••••••••••••••••••• #sherlock #sherlockholmes #drwatson #sherlockbbc #sherlocked #benedictcumberbatch #martinfreeman #bakerstreet #london #visitlondon #lovegreatbritain

Harry Potter

When you look for Platform 9 ¾ and you finally realize it’s on Platform 4 & 5…. Hi from Kings Cross Station! 🚉 I’ve been here before but every time I’m in London I come here to see how many people try to reach the Hogwarts Express. 😉 For Potterheads there’s a photo spot with a Platform 9 ¾ sign the station authorities decided to place due to popular request. And as I saw today you still have to queue up for this… (see my story). The barrier used in the film is actually the barrier between platforms 4 & 5.🎬 • #Hogwarts #HarryPotter #KingsCross #London #platform9¾ #HogwartsExpress #potterhead #visitlondon #lovegreatbritain

Rocky Balboa

“Is that a face you can trust or what? They oughta stick this face on a stamp, whaddya think.” Rocky to Adrian • Totally in Rocky mode I’ve joined an amazing tour to various iconic filming locations in Philadelphia with Mike Kunda on his @theyophillyrockyfilmtour (swipe through gallery). I think there is no better guide to discover the Rocky spots as he is so passionate about what he does. He knows all the neighborhoods (and to be honest in some areas I wouldn’t dare to go alone) and he’s the perfect Rocky impersonator. Over the years a true friendship developed between him and Sylvester Stallone (@officialslystallone). It’s fantastic to listen to his stories and all the trivia he knows about the movies and the sets. ❤️ Thank you so much, Mike, for knocking me out with this tour! 😃🥊 • If you wanna see more, find some more impressions behind the film scenes in my stories. • #rocky #rockybalboa #sylvesterstallone #mikekunda #theyophillyrockyfilmtour #rockytour #philly #philadelphia #discover_phl

Lost

View this post on Instagram

Live together or die alone. • The ending of LOST’s final episode seems to be one of the most misunderstood, confusing and discussed in the history of TV Shows. But that made me curious to find that filming location all the more. So on my way to Honolulu I stopped by at the Sacred Hearts Academy which welcomed me to have a look at their chapel (please call or mail them in advance if you wanna visit -> @sacredheartsacademy). This is where the last scenes of the episode ”The End“ were filmed. Now my cinematic journey in Oahu, Hawaii, also comes to an end (but more pics coming up soon! 🌺) and I‘m looking hugely forward to my next destination: Philadelphia!! 🙌🏻🎬 • Feel free to share your thoughts about LOST and its ending in the comments, but always remain kind to each other. 😊 • #lost #livetogetherdiealone #lostending #honolulu #oahu #hawaii

The Notebook

„It wasn’t over… still isn‘t over!“ ❤️ • “The Notebook” turns 15 years today and it’s still one of my favorite screen romances. Love to remember my visit at Boone Hall Plantation some years ago. It was great to follow the tracks of Noah and Allie but also to learn more about the history of the estate which was also featured in the TV show “North and South” as Mont Royal. 🎬 • What is your favorite Love Story? ••••••••••••••••••••••• #TheNotebook #ryangosling #rachelmcadams #nicholassparks #noahandallie @nicholassparks #southcarolina #visitusa #boonehallplantation #lovestory

Daenerys judging over the Tarlys in Game of Thrones season 7 when they refuse to bend the knee is another hair-raising scene filmed at the granite rocks of Los Barruecos in Extremadura, Spain. 🎬 • Sadly I had to say goodbye to Extremadura, but you can find more impressions of my trip in the Story Highlights on my profile @filmtourismus. [AD] Hi from the Dragonstone Cliffs where Jon and Daenerys (and of course Drogon 🐉) share a moment together in Season 7. The real-life location is the impressive Fair Head which rises 600ft above sea level. It’s a great destination for a 1-2 hour hike with spectacular views. Thank you Johnny of @borntoruntours for guiding me. To see as much places as possible I actually ran quite a lot throughout the day. 😅 See much more Game of Thrones filming locations in Northern Ireland in my latest Insta Stories. • Sponsored Press Trip by @TourismIreland • Screenshot Copyright: @HBO • #Werbung #Ireland #LoveIreland #DiscoverIreland #InstaIreland #VisitIreland #DiscoverNI #GlassofThrones #GOTTerritory #GameOfThrones #GoT

I‘m scared for you! ”Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire“ • The Wooden Bridge of Hogwarts on which Harry and Hermoine discuss the date with Viktor Krum in this scene can also be found at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour just next to Privet Drive. 🎬 (see the new Gringotts set in previous post) • By the way… exactly five years ago I started this account! I wish to enter my vault!✨ • What a great scene at Gringotts in „Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2“ with Hermione pretending to be Bellatrix Lestrange, Ron given a fake identity as a disguise and Harry and Griphook under the Invisibility Cloak. Now I was able to walk through that impressive marble hall by myself as doors to Gringotts just opened at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. It really felt like I’ve stepped right into the place itself. 🎬 • Thank you so much @wbtourlondon for inviting me to see this brand-new part of the studio tour. It will open officially on Saturday 6th April. See more impressions of the tour in my Insta Story. The Stranger in Netflix’s „Dark“ is my favorite character of the show. So I was very happy to meet brilliant actor @andreaspietschmann in Berlin to speak with him about his role, time travel productions in general and the meaning of the locations for the art of acting ➡️ see link in bio for the interview in German. The shooting of Season 2 was just finished this week by the cast & crew around director @baranboodar and I really can’t wait to see it. 🙌🏻 The only thing Andreas revealed to me is that there will be new characters and ties and we will never guess what will happen… 😉🎬 •••••••••••••••••••••••• #dark #andreaspietschmann #thestranger #baranboodar #netflixdark #netflix @netflixde @netflix #berlin #schlosshotelgrunewald

Stranger Things

The van flip is one of my favorite scenes in ”Stranger Things“ season one. So I definitely wanted to check out where it was filmed. Turned out the filming took place on Sarahs Lane in Tucker, northeast of Atlanta. 🎬 When I stood there to take these pics a neighbor came to me and asked if I’m here because of the potholes in the street… Sadly had to disappoint her. 😬 But at least she knows now why there could be some film tourists from time to time. 😃 • On my profile you can now see a Stranger Things Story with all the filming locations I’ve already visited. @filmtourismus • #StrangerThings #Eleven #MillieBobbyBrown #DustinHenderson #GatenMatarazzo #MikeWheeler #FinnWolfhard #LucasSinclair #CalebMcLaughlin #Hawkins #ExploreGeorgia #Georgia #StrangerThingsDay
